Whatever time you have to offer, the Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area has an option to fit your schedule and availability. With multiple programs and events to choose from there are many engaging ways to become an integral part of the BGCCA. The Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area has been an organization central to the Cochrane community for over 20 years, a feat that would not have been possible without the dedicated work of our amazing volunteers. To us, our volunteers are every bit as important as any club member or staff, and we cannot thank them enough.
BGCCA offers exciting chances to learn new skills, meet new people, all while working together to achieve something meaningful. We believe everyone has something to offer our programs, while developing their own unique abilities, and is it the contributions of our volunteers that make our programs so special. For youth looking to gain valuable experience and useful knowledge, volunteering with the BGCCA is a great place to start.
Volunteers will sign up for a minimum of 40 hours over the summer to volunteer and help out with our Out of School Care programs. Volunteers will be taught and certified in CPR Training, Boundaries Training and Difficult Conversations Training among others.
A fee of $225 will be asked upon being accepted to cover the costs of outings, entries and tickets for various trips.

We often need adults or peers (grade 10-12) to support with Math and Science homework or test/exam prep. Our tutoring program is a great way to be part of our Club, meet new people, gain volunteer hours and build a solid reference.
